The CWV Team

—Elizabeth R. Bernat is a member of the Communication faculty at Plattsburgh State University of New York, specializing in communication systems theory, organizing processes, and quantitative and qualitative research methods. She received her Ph.D. from The Ohio University.

—Tim Clukey is a member of the Communication faculty at Plattsburgh State University of New York, specializing in digital media production and Internet dynamics, with an emphasis on cybernetic decision-making and search engine research patterns. He received his M.S. from Ithaca College.

—Jonathan R. Slater is a member of the Communication faculty at Plattsburgh State University of New York, specializing in mass media theory and public relations, with an emphasis on economic development and organizational identity. He received his Ph.D. from New York University.

Research Assistants

—Alexander Bruce is our newest Community Web Visibility Research Associate, beginning his work in the Summer of 2004. He is near completion of his undergraduate degree from Plattsburgh State University of New York, focusing his Speech Communication studies on public relations and advertising.

—Jessica Atkinson served as a Community Web Visibility Research Assistant and Data Collection Specialist from 2001-2003. She is a graduate of Plattsburgh State University of New York's Mass Media program and is now employed at the Business Review in the Albany area.

—Steve Cacioppo served as a Community Web Visibility Research Assistant from 2000-2001. He is a graduate of Plattsburgh State University of New York's Speech Communication program and is now pursuing a career in special education.
